Our new video studio in Midtown NYC, just blocks from Penn Station, Madison Square Garden, and Times Square, has already hosted a variety of exciting productions in our spacious, full-color White Cyc Studio in NYC. From live streams to commercials, documentaries, interviews, and podcast video productions, each project has been an enjoyable experience and a fantastic way to expand our offerings.

UNILAD reached out to us to film in our spacious, full-color White Cyc Studio in NYC with the incredible Jake Gyllenhaal and Conor McGregor during their press tour for Road House and Amazon. It was the perfect match, cyc shoot with custom gradients to achieve their desired look. Our studio’s White Cyc Studio in NYC was ideal for this project, as it can be set to any gradient or color and be ready for filming in just minutes.
This shoot had a lot of moving pieces, despite not being particularly complicated. The involvement of high-profile talent like Jake and Conor meant coordinating with their teams, managing additional security, and taking extra steps to ensure everything ran smoothly. Their teams were wonderful, making the process efficient and enjoyable.
Another exciting project we tackled was a full-day, green screen live stream for Voices by Staffbase. This virtual conference took place in our white cyc studio in NYC and featured a live key, remote guests, and pre-taped segments, all seamlessly integrated for an impressive remote virtual event.
This event went off without a hitch. ASL Productions managed the full green backdrop (no painting needed!) and ensured the talent had everything they needed for a successful production. We provided a confidence monitor so they could see themselves, their guests, and communicate in real time with remote participants and groups. Additionally, our playback system and stage manager ensured everyone knew exactly where to be and what was coming up next, keeping the production running smoothly.
We love doing green screen shoots at our studios, and our state-of-the-art control room ensures smooth and effective workflows for everyone involved, both on-site and remotely. Thousands of guests tuned in throughout the day, making it a big success from start to finish!
One of the standout projects filmed in our Studio One was the powerful and moving podcast episode featuring Spice Girl Mel B, titled “From Girl Power to Powerless – It Took Me 10 Years to BREAK FREE & Learn This Lesson.” The episode was recorded on our full-color 25′ white cyc, which we transformed into a vibrant pink background that perfectly matched Mel B’s energetic and bold vibe.
For this shoot, it was essential to create an environment that resonated with Mel B’s story and personality. Our versatile white cyc studio allowed us to achieve the ideal setting. By utilizing advanced lighting techniques and the cyc’s customizable features, we set the entire backdrop to a striking pink hue. This not only complemented Mel B’s branding but also added a visual pop that enhanced the overall aesthetic of the episode.
Our Studio One is designed to be a comfortable and welcoming space for talent. During the shoot, Mel B and her team found the environment to be both professional and relaxed, enabling her to open up and share her journey authentically. The spacious setup allowed for easy movement and interaction, while our state-of-the-art amenities ensured that everything ran smoothly.
From the moment Mel B arrived at ASL Studios, we made sure that every detail was taken care of. Our team provided a seamless experience, from set-up to wrap, ensuring that Mel B could focus entirely on her message. Filming this inspiring episode in our Studio One demonstrated how our facilities can cater to the unique needs of high-profile talent, creating a space where stories can be told powerfully and authentically. The vibrant pink background not only matched Mel B’s iconic style but also highlighted the versatility and capability of our white cyc studio in delivering top-notch productions.
Our shoot with the Concentric Life agency for Wegovy was a lot of fun. We built a blue screen set on our white cyc studio, ran all audio and video through our control room. From there we were able to do a live key, a remote feed and an in-house feed for everyone to stay involved and up to date.
We had a telepromter for our talent as well as scripty to make sure all the medical and legal lines were delivered exactly right.
We also had a full catering area set up, multiple green rooms with feeds and a crafty area for everyone to get the most food and fun from the production!
The newest addition to our offerings in Studio One is our in-house living room setup. Perfect for podcasts, interviews, live streams and so much more. Our first guest was Tena, who did five podcasts in the space in one day from Studio One.
The living room set currently lives in a smaller version in studio two at ASL Studios, but this version was great for the first outing. We had custom lighting, pops of colors and props specifically for Tena to match their look and vibes.
We ran everything through our control room for in and out of house feeds and made sure they had their healthy food options as well!
