The bustling heart of New York City has welcomed a new gem in the world of production studios: ASL Studios’ newest home-style video studio and living room set. Recently christened by Greenpoint Digital and their client, Tena, this versatile studio space proved its worth by hosting five podcasts in a single day. Let’s take a closer look at this exciting new addition, and the successful first shoot that marked its debut.
When Greenpoint Digital reached out to us, they had a clear vision for Tena‘s podcast series: a comfortable, inviting setting that could adapt to various themes and branding requirements. Our newly designed Home-Style Video Studio in Studio One (Now in studio two for a turnkey set experience) was the perfect match for their needs. Located just blocks from Times Square and Madison Square Garden, this studio offers a prime location for bringing in clients and talent.
To help accommodate Tena’s action packed shoot day, we pre-lit the set the night before and spent the morning pre-roll hours fine tuning the lighting and props to match the colors of Tena’s brand. The home-style setup provided a relaxed and comfortable environment, helping guests feel at ease and ready to engage in authentic conversations.
One additional request from Greenpoint was a BTS videographer to cover all the action as it unfolded throughout the day. The goal of this footage was for Greenpoint to show the space, production, workflow and quality of their productions to potential clients or when pitching projects and ideas moving forward. We accomplished this by putting one of our videographers on an Easy Rig with a Canon C200 to make sure every moment between cast, client, agency, brand and talent was captured throughout the space.
Capturing the essence of the project was vital, not just for archival purposes and sales and pitches moving forward, but also for creating engaging content for social media and marketing. Our team documented the entire process, from setup to the final wrap, offering a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the creative journey. This BTS coverage highlighted the studio’s capabilities and the seamless execution of the project.
The success of this first shoot underscored the Home-Style Video Studio’s potential as a versatile and efficient production space. The comfortable, home-style environment fostered creativity and authenticity, essential elements for producing engaging content. Guests and talent alike appreciated the relaxed atmosphere, which contributed to the natural flow of conversations and interactions.
Additionally, the comfort of ASL Studios as a whole allowed for the host and guests to have private spaces for relaxing, changing and getting ready for their time on screen. The common areas gave agency a place to watch from in comfort and the internal green room allowed for the agency to be on site watching the action without being distracting to those on camera.
