April has flown by but we don’t want to see it in our rear view without taking you on our video production journey for the month. Lets strap on our production boots and get to it.

ASL headed to the Rust Belt to partner with Aspen Dental in Steubenville, Ohio. We filmed a heart warming story of a Vietnam Vet, whose house burned down, had an on-the-job injury, and needed significant dental work. The resulting video will pull at your heart strings. Take a look above.

While we were showing the softer side of humanity in Steubenville, we were celebrating the ridiculousness of sports and comedy as we teamed up with Barstool Sports to produce the first annual Barstool Awards. The live-streamed event showcased the best (and worst) of their videos, blogs, tv appearances and bloopers. We transformed a Dunkin’ Donuts in Queens into the awards show and winners were handed custom, gold plated, breakfast sandwich statues which we helped create for Dunkin’s “Go2” campaign. It was a really fun production to be a part of so make sure you check out some pictures and the video of the ceremony above.

Between our trips to Steubenville and Queens, ASL made our way upstate to the Greenburgh Graham Union Free School to shoot a video for HP. We highlighted the state-of-the-art computer lab that HP built for the school, including their HP integrated classroom and 3D printer. We worked with an Arri Amira for this shoot and matched it with a C300 Mark II. We lit the interviews, simply, with a Kino 4 bank, hair light and negative fill and the results were amazing!

Other news from ASL this month included a testimonial project in Baltimore for Billtrust, an instructional video for Hand & Stone Spas at their corporate headquarters in Pennsylvania, and locally, conference coverage for the Vision Monday Eye-Care Summit at the NY Times Building.
