What Full-Service Video Production Actually Looks Like: Podcasts, Live Events, and Livestreams

ASL Studios productions: podcast studio, live events, and custom livestream sets in NYC

A podcast that films six episodes in a day. A three-day event producing 60+ pieces of content with same-day delivery. A holiday livestream built from scratch on a custom set across three platforms. Three completely different productions, all run by the same team, out of the same studio.

Here is how ASL Studios handled each one, and what it says about what a real production partner should be able to do.

On Par with Maury Povich filming at ASL Studios podcast studio NYC

Maury comes in for full production days and films four to six episodes in a single session. Back-to-back guests, some in person, some remote. Teleprompter loaded before he sits down. Props set and stored on site between sessions. Turnaround between guests is seamless.

The show films in our dedicated podcast studio, upgraded with Sony FX6 cinema cameras for broadcast quality. Remote guests connect direct-to-camera with connections pre-tested before every shoot. Two seasons in and counting, and the set is ready to go the moment he walks in.

What this shows: When your studio partner stores your set, knows your workflow, and has the crew dialed in, you stop wasting time on setup and start stacking episodes. That is what a turnkey studio is supposed to do.

Fanatics Fest 2025

Live Event Production  ·  Real-Time Content  ·  Jacob Javits Center

ASL Studios crew at Fanatics Fest 2025 producing live event content NYC

ASL partnered with OBB and Fanatics to run a full content operation at the Jacob Javits Center in NYC. Over three days, our crew captured brand activations, athlete interviews, and unscripted moments, delivering 60+ pieces of content formatted for Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and broadcast. Many went live the same day they were filmed.

The crew included 12 camera operators on gimbals, 6 editors split between on-site and overnight shifts, 3 DITs managing media flow, field producers, and audio engineers. Cameras shot in both vertical and widescreen simultaneously so every piece of content was native to its platform from the start.

Content was produced for Starbucks, Raising Cane’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and ESPN, featuring talent including Tom Brady, Derek Jeter, David Beckham, Kevin Durant, and Travis Scott.

What this shows: Production does not stop at the studio door. The same team that runs your podcast can deploy 30+ crew to a live event, shoot for multiple brands simultaneously, and deliver finished content before the day is over. That is the difference between a studio and a full production partner.

Chewy Wish-A-Thon

Custom Set Design  ·  Multi-Platform Livestream  ·  South Florida

Chewy Wish-A-Thon custom holiday set and livestream produced by ASL Studios

ASL partnered with ASK Media to produce Chewy’s Wish-A-Thon livestream out of South Florida. We designed and built a custom holiday set with three distinct zones: a theatrical center stage, a vintage broadcast microphone setup, a nine-screen vertical TV wall, and a live wrapping station.

Cameras were mounted sideways to film natively in vertical for TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram. vMix and ReStream managed program creation and distribution across all platforms simultaneously. The broadcast culminated with Chewy announcing a $5 million donation to pets in need.

Complex, high-risk, and deeply meaningful. The production ran seamlessly despite last-minute pivots around confetti and on-set dogs. Full-service from set design to live distribution.

What this shows: When a brand needs a set built from nothing, cameras rigged for vertical, and a live broadcast distributed across three platforms at once, you need a team that has done it before. ASL designed it, built it, crewed it, and streamed it. That is end-to-end production.

The Common Thread

These three productions have almost nothing in common on the surface. One is a recurring podcast filmed in a Midtown Manhattan studio. One is a massive live event at the Javits Center. One is a custom-built livestream set in South Florida. Different formats, different cities, different scales.

But the same team ran all three. The same cameras and gear. The same production infrastructure. The same commitment to showing up with everything handled so the client can focus on the content.

That is what separates a studio you rent from a production partner you keep. Whether you need a podcast studio for a day, an event crew for a weekend, or a livestream operation built from scratch, it should all come from the same place.

Why Podcasters and Producers From All Over the World Film at ASL Studios in NYC
